What's Fun to do in Island Park?
That’s a challenge our Island Park guests have been trying to top every time they visit. There are so many things to do in Island Park and the surrounding areas that the fun seems to be endless. We have world class snowmobiling, world class fishing, ATV riding, horseback riding, boating, white water rafting… Well, see for yourself. The list goes on and on. There’s summer activities, winter activities, fun destinations and events.

(about 30 minutes) - Old Faithful is 52 miles away
(Less than 1 hour and 15 minutes with no stops) - Connie’s is the nearest restaurant to the cabins.
- The nearest gas station is Robin’s Roost, just a couple minutes away.
Rafting
Wild West Whitewater Rafting
Wild West Whitewater Rafting is all about having fun on the river. Choose between a half day and full day whitewater trip. They even combine whitewater rafting with horseback riding with their Saddle and Paddle trip. Spend the morning riding horses, and then white water down the Yellowstone River.American Whitewater
American Whitewater is a great website to reference before rafting down any river. It has up-to-date information about water levels, difficulty, weather, rapids, length, average and maximum gradient, etc. The website also has pictures and descriptions of each river.
Snowmobiling
When you come to Island Park and the West Yellowstone area to snowmobile, you’ve come to an area that has earned the nick name “Snowmobiling Capital of the World.” If you don’t have a snowmobile of your own, no worries we also rent snowmobiles!

Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park is America’s first national park established in 1872. Some of the wildlife that living within the park are grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Yellowstone National Park is also where you will find Old Faithful and a collection of the world’s most extraordinary geysers and hot springs, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

American Dog Derby
This historic dog sled race has an interesting history dating back to March 4, 1917 when the first 55 mile race began from West Yellowstone, MT to Ashton, ID (Now fully held inside the Ashton area). Mushers come from all parts of the United States determined to run their dogs in the race and win. A notable example was in 1948 when musher Lewis Price dropped his dogs by parachute from a plane to the starting line! It is an exciting winter experience with events for mushers, spectators, and dogs of all sizes.FREE Breakfast:
What better way to start a season of fishing than with a nice hot breakfast of pancakes with syrup and butter, hash browns, sausage, and a variety of beverages. Best of all it’s FREE! This is an annual event that takes place at 6 a.m. – 1 p.m. the Friday before the fishing season begins. Anyone is invited to participate in this free breakfast paid for by the St. Anthony Chamber of Commerce. There is also a program and special guests for the kids like Woodsy Owl and Smokey Bear. Summer Festival is four days of fun-filled activities leading up to the Fourth of July. Some of the events include a hot air balloon rally, craft fair, antique show, rodeo, parade, community breakfast and BBQ, and of course Fireworks! There is something for the whole family to enjoy at Summer Festival. So don’t miss out.
Celebrate the 4th of July in Rexburg with a community breakfast, commercial booths, rodeo, flag raising ceremony, parade, and fireworks.
